Bergstadens Preschool is located 4 km from the city center and is close to nature. The preschool is organized into age-appropriate groups with currently three open departments for children aged 1-2 years, 2-4 years, and 4-5 years. We have a close collaboration between the three municipal preschools in Bergnäset, including common development areas, at least one joint competence and development day per term, and a pedagogical development group consisting of childcare workers and preschool teachers from all three units. We are currently focusing on developing our outdoor environments and our outdoor teaching as part of an Erasmus project with Italy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher, you play a crucial role in children's development and well-being. You will have a multifaceted role and work closely with childcare workers and other staff at the preschool to create a safe, stimulating, and accessible education for the children. Your main responsibilities include:

ensuring goal-oriented processes and conducting teaching together with childcare workers, where children's participation and influence are central
ensuring that the teaching in preschool is in accordance with the goals of the curriculum
planning, implementing, and developing teaching together with the work team and for the entire preschool
ensuring that the preschool's learning environments offer variation where children can further develop their abilities in an accessible learning environment for care, play, movement, health, development, and learning

You work to create safe and trusting relationships with both children, colleagues, and guardians.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are an educated and licensed preschool teacher with the authority to teach in preschool and have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. It is an advantage if you have professional experience from working in preschool as well as knowledge of any of our minority languages or another language.

As a person, you need to be structured and able to plan, organize, and complete your work. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to meet the needs of different children, create good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, and value collaboration while striving for shared success. Your creative ability to think outside the box when needed is also important.
