We are looking for

We are looking for someone who has obtained Swedish medical license and has not completed Swedish AT. The positions require Swedish citizenship, EU citizenship, or a valid work and residence permit, as well as very good oral and written communication skills in Swedish, which will also be assessed during the selection process. No clinical experience is required, but clinical experience with good references may be an advantage.

You have a positive attitude and approach, as well as good knowledge, skills, and the ability to apply these in the medical profession.


This is what you will work with

BT in Region Norrbotten is a clinical introduction service within Swedish healthcare and aims to lay a good foundation for future specialist training. It is a standalone, fixed-term employment but with the aim of also contributing to finding our future ST doctors and specialist colleagues.

The position includes, in addition to two weeks of introduction, clinical service under supervision in general medicine (health center), emergency care, psychiatry, and possibly another clinical placement. A total of 12 months of service. The service plans for the blocks will be designed somewhat differently depending on the included clinical placements and service locations within Region Norrbotten.

The service mainly consists of clinical work with continuous supervision and recurring structured competency assessments. In addition, there will be recurring training sessions aimed at achieving approved basic competence according to SoS regulations and the goal description for BT. On-call service in the emergency department is included in the position.

The BT positions are located at Gällivare, Piteå, Sunderbyn, Kalix, and Kiruna hospitals.

Information about the position

Fixed-term full-time employment for 12 months. Start date 2026-08-24 or 2026-11-23. If you have a late start, you are still employed in week 35 for introduction and week 39 for the emergency medicine course. The BT positions are located at Gällivare, Sunderby, Piteå, Kalix, and Kiruna hospitals. The service may include several service locations. We hold physical interviews at the respective hospitals; if we have met before, interviews may possibly take place digitally. Interviews for Kalix, Gällivare, and Kiruna are planned for week 13.
Interviews for Piteå and Sunderbyn have not yet been scheduled. Exact dates will be communicated upon invitation to the interview.

The position is within pediatric care: We apply a background check before the employment decision according to the provisions of the law (2013:852) on background checks of persons who will work with children.
The position is within psychiatry: Based on the nature of the business and security requirements, applicants to our business must be prepared to provide an extract from the criminal record.

Training positions have fixed salary levels.
