We are looking for a driven chef or kitchen assistant to join our team where the shifts are pool shifts within our municipal kitchens with Sörgården's kitchen as the starting point.

If you are currently working as a kitchen assistant and want to develop your basic skills, there is a unique opportunity for that! For a limited time, you will receive 25% competence development and work in our kitchen pool 75%. This means that you will regularly have time set aside to strengthen your professional skills, participate in training and development initiatives that benefit both you and the organization. After about 6 months, the position will transition to a 100% pool position. The competence development does not grant a chef's diploma, however, you will receive certificates for the training you participate in.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in multiple workplaces, in different kitchens, and with many colleagues. You need to find it interesting to work in ways where the workplace and colleagues change. The work includes preparation and cooking of meals, including special diets and consistencies. You will also work with dishwashing, serving, self-control, cleaning, laundry, orders, and administrative tasks in the food data program Matilda and orders via the web. We work according to self-control with clear work orders, routines, recipe management, and checklists.

The shifts are allocated by our resource planner, but otherwise, you will be part of the Sörgården work group with kitchen unit manager Malin as your immediate supervisor. When working within the pool, a pool supplement and the possibility of travel compensation according to applicable rules regarding these are included. Currently, there is an opportunity for a zone supplement of up to 3000 SEK on your monthly salary based on set criteria related to job size, schedule, and the distance between your home address and workplace.

Qualifications

You have experience as at least a kitchen assistant or a solid interest in food, experience in preparing meals, special diets, and consistencies in large kitchens. Basic computer skills are necessary.

A valid driver's license with at least B category and access to your own car is a requirement.

You should have a good attitude, be service-oriented, flexible, and able to work independently even in high-tempo situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The work requires sufficient knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form to understand work orders, routines, checklists, recipe management, orders, communication with colleagues, guests, etc. You will be involved in our developing work methods, work with the best colleagues, and benefit from a wellness allowance of up to 3000 SEK/year, as well as exercise time that positively affects your health.
