Technician in the Food Industry

We are now looking for an experienced and technically skilled technician for an established production facility in the food industry in Gothenburg. The role is suitable for you who want to work broadly with maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement work in a production environment.

About the Position

As a technician, you will be responsible for the operational reliability of production through both corrective and preventive maintenance. You will work closely with production and handle troubleshooting and repairs in electrical, electronic, and mechanical areas. The job also involves contributing to the development and optimization of the machinery.

Some welding may occur as needed, primarily simpler TIG work in stainless steel, but it is not a main part of the job.

The position involves shift work with varying day and evening hours.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repair of machines and production equipment
• Preventive and planned maintenance
• Improvement and development work of the machinery
• Replacement of mechanical and electronic components
• Interpretation of electrical diagrams and work with machine electronics
• Simple welding work as needed
• Purchasing and collecting materials and equipment as needed

Qualifications for the Position

• Several years of experience in maintenance within industrial production
• Good knowledge of electrical and machine electronics
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
• Technical education or equivalent work experience
• Computer skills, preferably experience with maintenance systems
• Driver's license (B)
• Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Experience from food production or work in hygiene-demanding environments is an advantage. Welding skills (TIG, stainless steel) are considered a plus.
