We are looking for a church caretaker who can work with all tasks related to the parish's cemeteries and properties. Grave digging, serving at funeral services, and coffin carrying are also included. The parish owns a funeral home, and if interested, there may be opportunities for some work there as well.

A large part of the work is done together with others. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to work in teams, but also individually. You need to be positive, helpful, and flexible as a person.

It is desirable that you have education focused on gardening/landscape maintenance or as a property caretaker or equivalent, and/or experience working in cemeteries and/or indoor and outdoor property maintenance.

You are a member of the Church of Sweden and have a driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle as well as at least basic computer skills. A BE driver's license, work on roads, and training for operating a compact loader are advantageous. The work is physically demanding, so good physical condition is necessary. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability for the position.

The Church of Sweden in Lilla Edet is responsible for four churches and five cemeteries. During the summer season (mid-March to mid-November), there are currently a total of ten church caretakers working in two teams, and five during the rest of the year.
