Our Operations

We care for patients with diseases related to blood and bone marrow. Examples of hematological diseases include acute and chronic leukemia, myeloma, lymphoma, polycythemia vera, and myelodysplastic syndrome. One of our specialties is stem cell transplants, and we are accredited for allogeneic transplants, which means we have received a European quality stamp that we are very proud of. The department is located in the 101-building and has large bright areas. The department has 21 beds distributed across three teams.

Your Mission

As a nursing assistant in the department, you will be responsible for basic care in close collaboration with your colleagues and nurses. Your tasks include, among other things:

• Daily hygiene of patients (upper and lower toilet)
• Oral care
• Turning schedule
• Monitoring vital parameters
• Blood sugar control
• Ensuring that patients have clean bed linens and patient clothing
• Distributing meal trays
• Proactively offering snacks and ensuring that patients always have something to drink
• Recording dietary and fluid lists and documenting values in Cosmic
• Documenting and updating care status in Cosmic
• Cleaning work surfaces and storage areas

After demonstrating skill in basic care, there is an opportunity for delegation for sampling, catheterization, and assistance in biopsy sampling and lumbar puncture.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified nursing assistant with a protected professional title and have a few years of experience as a nursing assistant. Experience from hospital work is an advantage.

Your Competence

You should be attentive, easy to collaborate with, have good organizational skills, and be able to quickly adapt to new tasks. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
