Åkerblads Gästgiveri, Hotel & Spa is a family-owned hotel business located in beautiful Tällberg, Dalarna. The estate has been in the Åkerblad family since the 1400s, and today the 19th to 22nd generations of Åkerblad work together with a strong team of 50 to provide guests with a memorable experience. Experiences are our key word; it is what we convey to the guest from the moment they check in until they long to return to the sparkling waters of Siljan. Our goal is to deliver a unique product, which is reflected not only in the historic premises but also in the hotel’s 73 guest rooms, all personally decorated and none alike. Our restaurant works with locally produced ingredients and personal flavors, catering to both conference guests and weekend visitors. The hotel is currently classified with four stars and aims for continuous development where quality and service are the guiding principles.

About the position...

We are looking for someone who thrives in an inspiring team. Since the brand Åkerblads stands for quality, we prepare everything from bread and stocks to mayonnaises and ice creams, from raw material to finished product.

Cooking from scratch is a given for you as it is for us. The position requires that you have previously worked with A'la Carte cooking.

As we are a well-visited hotel, we are open for our guests from early morning to late evening, all year round. This means that varying working hours occur in our scheduling, with the greatest emphasis on evenings.

In addition to your professional skills, your pride in your work reflects a sense of order and good hygiene knowledge.

About you...

You have at least a couple of years of experience in a similar position, as well as restaurant education. Alternatively, long work experience that corresponds to the aforementioned.

Your most important qualities are characterized by good teamwork skills, being an important part of a cohesive team.

You, like us, love details and are passionate about delivering experiences to guests. Our guests have high expectations, and we believe you thrive in a role that meets this.

In a fast-paced environment, you have the ability to deliver good quality and work in a structured manner while being attentive and responsive to colleagues' needs.
