Riksbyggen is looking for Property Caretakers in Örebro for the 2026 season

We are now looking for employees who want to work with us in Örebro, where we take care of most things for our customers. The seasonal employment includes, among other things, external maintenance such as mowing our customers' lawns, trimming hedges, and weeding flower beds. We plant spring and summer flowers, and prune bushes and trees. We patrol customer sites where we pick up litter and empty trash bins. Some minor property repairs may occur through requests from our fault reporting system or directly from our customers.

As a seasonal property caretaker at Riksbyggen, you will be one of those who work closest to the customer.

You will mainly be responsible for external maintenance for our customers and you will be part of a team that manages daily operations. It is particularly advantageous if you have previously worked with external maintenance in all its aspects. You work in a group but also independently; you plan your days together and take your own initiatives – you have great freedom under responsibility. Regardless of the weather, you work outdoors, and you get to be physically active all day, which requires a good physical foundation.

Time reporting and other administrative tasks are performed via computer and mobile, which requires a good basic knowledge and interest in this.

Contribute with Your Skills and Engagement

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, responsible, and engaged. You enjoy planning your own time, are flexible, and solution-oriented.

Since you work in a group, it is very important that you enjoy collaborating, are unpretentious, and contribute to a good atmosphere in the group. It is also important that you have the ability to create comfort and trust in your contact with residents in the housing cooperatives. You are practically oriented and enjoy being active.

We would like you to have good knowledge focused on outdoor maintenance, as this is the largest part of the assignment.

Regarding external maintenance, we prefer that you already have knowledge of hedge trimming. We wish for knowledge of plant recognition and pruning of trees and bushes. Experience with handling lawn mowing with riding mowers and maintenance of this is advantageous. Knowledge of working with trimmers and brush cutters is advantageous. Knowledge of planting is advantageous. Weeding is a significant part of the work, which makes plant knowledge important so that the right plants are removed. Maintenance of several robotic mowers at our customers' sites is included.

We Expect You to Have:

• Education in property maintenance and/or several years of experience in gardening and with machines and motor-driven gardening tools is desirable.
• A driving license for manual transmission is a requirement.
• You have experience in administrative work and have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• It is advantageous if you have education/experience in maintenance work, brush cutter and/or chainsaw certifications.
• Machine care with good knowledge of how to maintain the machines is advantageous.
• It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of minor repairs in property maintenance regarding both external and internal.

The position is a seasonal employment, based in Örebro, but work in other locations within the market area may occur. Riksbyggen strives for a balanced gender distribution and sees diversity as a strength.
