We are looking for a nurse with a strong interest in mental health for the elderly for the psychiatric outpatient clinic in Motala. Job Description

In elderly psychiatry, we meet individuals over 65 years old who are in need of specialist care. As a nurse, you will work with psychiatric care, which includes assessing the patient's needs and determining what actions should be taken in each individual case to promote health and increase quality of life. Your responsibilities include everything from treatment follow-ups, health-promoting and psychoeducational conversations to telephone counseling. A large part of the work involves close collaboration with other professionals/actors such as municipal housing, municipal home care, and cognitive specialist clinics, as well as relatives of the patient.

Work Group

We are a work group consisting of caregivers and nurses who have worked together for a long time. We collaborate with the patient in focus, where our common goal is to meet the patient's needs and plan treatment in dialogue with the patient. We work from a holistic perspective, which means that family engagement and support for relatives may be included in the tasks. The breadth of the work makes the days with us varied and eventful.

About You

You have a nursing degree and preferably experience in psychiatric work.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You are often described as a team player with good collaboration skills. We want you, like us, to have a good attitude, a positive approach, and to focus on the patient's best interests. You have a creative and problem-solving ability, are flexible, and take initiative, plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You should have a strong interest in collaboration. We place great emphasis on personal maturity and that you want to engage and develop your work.

The position is a permanent employment that may start with a 6-month probationary period, with a start date by agreement.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 11/2 in the morning and Friday 13/2 in the afternoon.
