The Nephrology unit in Norrköping is an outpatient service where the main task is hemodialysis, to investigate and treat patients with kidney disease, and to treat patients with chronic kidney failure. The unit consists of hemodialysis, coordinator clinic, nephrology clinic, peritoneal dialysis (PD) clinic, and transplantation clinic.

Job Description

The work in the dialysis unit is a split position between the hemodialysis clinic and assisted PD clinic. The work is varied, where care is integrated with technology.

Assisted PD (peritoneal dialysis) is a service where patients are assisted at home with their PD treatment either fully or partially. The assistance/tasks consist of performing manual bag changes and handling night machines in patients' home environments. The tasks also include changing PD catheters and overseeing material orders.

The work is conducted independently at the patient's home, and you will be supported during the day from Monday to Friday by the responsible nurse at the PD clinic. Working hours are scheduled from Monday to Sunday from 07:00 to 15:30 or from 12:00 to 20:00.

The operation is open from Monday to Sunday from 07:00 to 20:00.

Work at the hemodialysis clinic involves assisting both nurses and patients with hemodialysis treatments as well as standard tasks for nursing assistants in a clinic. The work takes place at the dialysis clinic.

We actively work to improve the care we offer our patients. An important part is to try to involve our patients in their care and treatment. Our patients belong to the eastern part of the county and travel to the hospital for their treatment or have their treatment in their home environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. Since you will be in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other services, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Experience from municipal care or acute care is an advantage. A B driver's license with a manual transmission is also required.

You enjoy working independently and with varied tasks. As a person, you are positive, independent, flexible, proactive, and have a desire to develop the operation together with other team members. You also have the ability to plan, prioritize, and structure your work. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
