About Us

The Surgical Clinic at Blekingesjukhuset conducts extensive operations in surgery, urology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, and oncology.

We have two inpatient departments in Karlskrona and four outpatient clinics, one of which is in Karlshamn. We also operate in radiology and the emergency department in Karlskrona, as well as in the operating rooms in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. Together, we are over 200 employees.

We are now looking for a nurse for the surgical clinic in Karlshamn.

The Job

We offer an educational and varied job where your contribution becomes an important part of the care process. We are a workgroup with a positive work climate characterized by competence, commitment, and community.

You will primarily assist in the doctor's office and endoscopy clinic. With growing experience, the role can be expanded to include telephone advice, coordinator role, and administrative tasks such as appointment bookings and waiting lists.

Training is conducted at an individual pace alongside experienced colleagues with great commitment. At the surgical department, we care for each other and value team spirit. The tasks involve a lot of teamwork but also independent work and significant personal responsibility.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse. You are confident in your professional role and have a genuine interest in working with people.

We expect you to have good collaboration skills, be engaged in your work, and contribute to creating a good work climate.

You have the ability to prioritize between tasks and can remain calm in situations that require it. We would like you to have:

• A strong quality focus in your work approach
• Ease in working in a team, but also enjoy working independently
• Good social skills and always meet patients and colleagues with understanding and empathy
• The ability to work in a service-oriented manner
• A responsible attitude
• The ability to plan and organize as tasks are varied and include both planned and urgent operations
• A flexible working style and see opportunities in change

It is an advantage but not a requirement if you have experience in outpatient work and/or surgical operations.
