Project Manager for one of Sweden's most important infrastructure projects Job Responsibilities

As a project manager at the Swedish Transport Administration within the investment area, the development opportunities are vast. As a project manager, you will coordinate infrastructure projects within the railway throughout the entire chain from planning, design, contracts to construction and follow-up. The work is done in close collaboration with project engineers, specialists, consultants, and contractors. You are responsible for steering and monitoring the project regarding goals, strategy, time management, finance, and administration. It is a varied assignment to work as a project manager where you create societal benefits, have the opportunity to work in a team, and take significant personal responsibility. The projects you will lead are primarily related to the Malmbanan, but other projects may also become relevant.

Travel may occur in the position, the extent and destination vary depending on the needs of the business.

Qualifications

Who are you?

You are an engaging project manager who creates drive and gets others on board. With clarity and energy, you build direction and progress in the projects. You work purposefully and structured, maintaining the course even when it becomes challenging and making decisions that lead to results.

You communicate openly, clearly, and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and build trust in dialogue with teams, stakeholders, and external parties. Through unpretentious collaboration, you build good relationships, listen to different perspectives, and help the group achieve common goals.

You are an analytical problem solver who quickly grasps complex situations, identifies what really needs to be done, and finds sustainable, pragmatic solutions.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) with a technical focus or other education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent
  • has several years of relevant work experience as a project manager, site manager, assignment leader, or other similar leadership role within the construction industry
  • has experience working with budgets, forecasts, and financial follow-up
  • has current knowledge of contract law in one or more of the areas AB/ABT/ABK and AMA
  • has good contract and negotiation skills as well as experience in procurement
  • has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • has a valid driver's license for passenger cars

It is meritorious if you

  • have worked within the railway and with associated technical regulations
  • have experience in project management within road and/or railway
  • have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
