We are looking for someone who wants to work as a mother tongue teacher in Bosnian within primary school.

The Unit for Mother Tongue and Newly Arrived is a workplace characterized by well-being and engagement. Everyone helps each other here, and everyone's opinions, knowledge, and experiences are equally important regardless of mother tongue. We constantly collaborate across language and cultural boundaries. Our strength lies in our excellent development work, where we work for lifelong learning to ensure equitable teaching of high quality. The unit currently consists of a unit manager, deputy unit manager, and approximately 45 educators. The work is conducted at one or several of the municipality's 12 primary schools and Upplands-Bro Gymnasium.

Job Description

The role of mother tongue teacher involves work within primary and secondary schools. You are responsible for teaching, mapping, planning, and implementing pedagogical work related to governing documents and the individual needs of students.

In the unit, we place great importance on collaboration and co-planning across language boundaries. You participate in our joint development work in the unit together with your colleagues. You also collaborate with staff at the schools. You serve as a link between the knowledge and experiences the student brings with them and the school they encounter here. You are an important part of the school's value-based work.

Who We Are Looking For

Mother tongue instruction is a very important part of the student's language development and goal fulfillment. Ideally, you have a pedagogical education as a foundation. We also see that you have:

• Bosnian as your mother tongue is a requirement.
• Experience in pedagogical work
• Good collaboration skills
• Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
• Good computer skills
• Solution-focused approach

It is meritorious to have a Swedish teaching license and experience of a language-developing approach. Even if you can travel by public transport between schools, we prefer that you have access to your own car. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. The position requires a criminal record extract from the police.

About the Position

The position is temporary until 260617 but may be extended. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
