Are you ready to take the next step in your career as a purchaser with a focus on IT? With us, you will have an exciting role where you can develop and make a real difference every day. Welcome to a workplace that values engagement, collaboration, and innovation!
The Procurement Unit belongs to the Service Administration. Our goal is to contribute to the greatest possible benefit for the residents of Eskilstuna Municipality by helping and guiding the municipality's operations to make smart, cost-effective, and sustainable purchases of products and services. We work with strategy development (including category management), procurement, follow-up, development, and sustainability throughout the purchasing process. We are also responsible for the municipality's e-commerce.
Our team currently consists of a unit manager, three team leaders, five purchasing coordinators, twelve purchasers, purchasing controllers, IT contract controllers, e-commerce managers, sustainability developers, product coordinators, and purchasing developers. Here, you will find a workplace with a great working atmosphere and many competent colleagues.
You can work remotely two days a week and have great opportunities to plan your time independently. We also apply flexible working hours. Our offices are located in central Eskilstuna, close to the train station and with good commuting options.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a purchaser focusing on IT, you will play a key role in ensuring that the municipality has the right digital tools, under the right conditions. You are responsible for executing orders on our licensing partner agreements and direct procurements in the IT area. You will independently lead the process from need to final solution. In your work, you will coordinate various IT competencies within the organization and ensure that issues regarding security classification, personal data, and other IT requirements are handled in a professional and structured manner. You will be part of a procurement team specialized in IT procurements where you support and help each other and work together on development and continuous improvements.
An important part of the assignment is to ensure that appropriate licensing agreements are developed and followed up. Together with the municipality's IT contract controller, you will work to maximize business benefits and extract the greatest possible value from our IT investments.
You may also work with other types of orders and procurements. With us, you will have both responsibility and the opportunity to develop as a purchaser.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a post-secondary education in purchasing, IT, economics, or law and who already has experience in purchasing within public operations. You may have gained this experience through work or in the form of internships as part of your education. You have a clear interest in IT and preferably also practical experience in purchasing systems, services, and licenses. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, which allows you to communicate professionally with both suppliers and operations.
To thrive in this role, you are self-driven, engaged, and motivated to achieve good results. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive your processes forward in a structured manner. At the same time, you are attentive and have an easy time building trust, creating long-term relationships, and collaborating with different functions within the municipality. Even when the pace is high and the demands are many, you maintain calm and a solution-focused approach.
Welcome with your application!
