Temporary Position at the Assistive Technology Center in Region Gotland
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Assistive Technology and Supply Management
The Assistive Technology Center and supply management are part of the Technical and Community Development Administration and are responsible for the region's central warehouse as well as parts of the region's assistive technology supply.
In total, we are 44 people working in the unit, located in two different places in Visby.
Both operations are responsible for parts of the procurement work, purchasing, inventory management, and distribution of the existing assortment, and the Assistive Technology Center is also responsible for maintenance, service, and adaptations of assistive devices. The staff includes warehouse workers, repair technicians, technicians, purchasers, assistive technology consultants, and administrative support, which provides a broad competence within the operation.
In our daily work, we meet both users and their relatives as well as prescribers of assistive devices, and we are active throughout Gotland. The need for our services exists year-round for many people of all ages.
The Assistive Technology Center currently has an employee who will be testing other tasks from June to December 2026, and we therefore need to strengthen the workgroup with a temporary replacement for his regular position.
Your Responsibilities
As repair technicians, we handle warehouse operations including goods reception, storage, and picking in the warehouse. We also work with returns, cleaning, and reconditioning of assistive devices, as well as basic service on our assistive devices. Additionally, there may be some odd tasks that need to be performed.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with a B driver's license. Experience in warehouse work and/or workshop experience is advantageous. Experience working with assistive devices is also considered a merit. You have a strong sense of responsibility for your own tasks and good computer skills.
You are a solution-oriented and proactive person who is passionate about service. You have a general technical interest, are practically inclined, and have a good mechanical understanding. You enjoy working both independently and in a team. It is important that you are meticulous and quality-conscious since we work with medical technical products and healthcare materials. We also expect you to have good communication skills and be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
Personal suitability is highly valued.
Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, so do not wait to apply.
