Operations

The Social Administration is seeking substitute workers who can work when regular staff are absent. Services are provided around the clock, every day of the year, to individuals who need support in their daily lives. The Social Administration operates within Home Care (home service), Care and Support (housing for the elderly), and Functional Support (e.g., group homes, daily activities, personal assistance, LSS, and SOL).

As a substitute worker, you will be booked through Time Care Pool and you will receive requests based on your availability, which you enter into the system yourself. Availability for at least two days a week is desirable. There is also the possibility of longer assignments on a schedule.

We always check references, preferably from a previous manager or supervisor. You may need to provide an extract from the Police's criminal record. If you do not have EU citizenship, you must present a valid work and residence permit.

You need to provide a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare if you are a licensed nursing assistant to receive the nursing assistant title in your employment. You need to provide transcripts if you have education and service certificates if you have previous experience in healthcare.

Job Responsibilities

You will work according to the user's implementation plan. The tasks are varied, and you must always provide good care and support based on individual needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school education in care and support or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Or you who have experience working in support, service, care, and support. We value that you have good collaboration skills and a positive drive when meeting individuals who need support and assistance. You are flexible, responsible, and patient, and you must be at least 18 years old.

To perform the job, sufficient knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is required.

It is important that you have good digital competence, both for documenting in the user's journal according to social services law. Many of our workplaces require staff to have medication delegation, and the training for that is both practical and digital.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competencies.

Requirements

• Presentation of a license is mandatory.
• Present a valid work and residence permit if you are not an EU citizen.
• Driver's license B for home care, rural areas, and certain activities within functional support. Presentation of a driver's license is mandatory if you are employed in areas where a driver's license is required.
• Presentation of a criminal record for work within the Department of Functional Support with children under 18 years old.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
