Transport and Vehicles is a department within Regional Services, whose mission is to carry out external transport of goods, laundry, mail, and more. The unit is responsible for freight transport to Region Skåne's hospitals and care facilities throughout Skåne. The transport operation is divided into three units: Courier Stora Bernstorp, Cargo and Van Stora Bernstorp, and Truck and Courier in other locations. Development of transport within Region Skåne is part of the mission.

The transport operation has approximately 80 employees and is characterized by good collaboration skills and high social competence. Since 2021, the operation is located at Stora Bernstorp in Burlöv. In addition to courier vans and trucks, we also have special vehicles such as mobile blood donation units.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a vehicle driver, you will deliver goods to and from various healthcare facilities. You will have many different points of contact and collaborations with, among others, receiving departments at hospitals and health centers, as well as suppliers of goods, laundry, and aids. You will also have close contact with customers, both in the form of healthcare facilities and patients. Part of your job is to deliver aids to patients either at their workplace, school, or home.

You will drive throughout Skåne and will also be responsible for vehicle maintenance and inspection of the vehicle you drive.

Your working hours are mainly scheduled for weekdays during the day, but evening and weekend shifts may occur. We have a collective agreement with Kommunal.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for someone who has completed high school education and holds a valid B driver's license. You must have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form and possess good local knowledge of Skåne. Furthermore, you should have experience in local or regional distribution driving. The assignment may involve handling liquid nitrogen and gas; experience with this is an advantage.

As the role of vehicle driver places high demands on personal responsibility, it is important that you are self-driven, responsible, and able to solve arising problems. Since you will have many points of contact and collaborations, it is also important that you provide good service, are flexible, and adaptable.

A probationary period may be applicable for this position.
