Food & Cleaning Services

Food & Cleaning Services is a department within the Technical Administration. Food & Cleaning Services has about 80 employees, of which about 45 work in the food department and 35 in the cleaning department. We staff 18 kitchens within three different operations: preschool/school and care. We prepare about 2,500 lunches per day. We clean all types of facilities in all locations within Mönsterås municipality.

About the Position

Our chef at Fliseryd School has changed positions, and we are now looking for a chef for the Central Kitchen in Fliseryd. Here, we prepare and serve about 150 lunches a day to students from preschool to grade 6, as well as their educators. Breakfast and snacks are also served to the after-school children at the school. We also prepare and send lunch and dinner to care and home services with about 45 portions per day.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In Fliseryd's Central Kitchen, there is no supervisor on site, but 2 chefs work together and share responsibility.

One of the job responsibilities for the position consists of organizing the work in the central kitchen in Fliseryd in accordance with the goals of Food & Cleaning Services together with our other chef in the kitchen.

You share budget and follow-up responsibility, as well as responsibility for purchasing goods.

You are responsible for production and serving according to centrally established menus, special diets, vegetarian diets, packing for food distribution, receiving goods, customer contact, orders, invoice handling, payroll reporting, self-control, dishwashing, and cleaning.

Other job responsibilities also include actively participating in meetings and holding planning meetings at the workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience as a chef. Hotel and restaurant education or equivalent and experience as a chef with continuous updates on allergies/special diets, as well as training in HACCP. You should also be service-oriented, solution-oriented, able to prioritize, and have good organizational skills. Build, maintain, and develop good relationships in the workplace.

Good computer skills are a requirement. We use software such as Heroma, Unit4, Mashie, etc.

You should be able to read, speak, and understand Swedish, meaning you can comprehend written instructions and manuals written in Swedish both orally and in writing.
