The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat is a government agency that promotes and coordinates Swedish polar research. This includes following and planning research and development work as well as organizing and leading research expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctica. The agency has about 50 employees and operations in Luleå, Abisko, Fiskebäckskil, Helsingborg, and on the icebreaker Oden. Our overarching goal is to increase the international impact of Swedish polar research.
The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat is now seeking a part-time cleaner for the Land-Based Research Support Unit, located at the Abisko Scientific Station.
The unit is led by a unit manager and consists of a total of eleven employees, all stationed in Abisko. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the housekeeper at the station.
Job Responsibilities
As a cleaner, you will be responsible for cleaning selected areas of the station's premises according to an established schedule. The work is performed independently but in dialogue with the housekeeper to ensure good quality and functioning routines.
We are looking for someone who has
- previous experience in cleaning or similar tasks
- good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and understood
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. To succeed in the role, you need to be independent, meticulous, and have a responsible work approach.
Other Information
The position is a special fixed-term employment (intermittent) during the period from February 16 to May 29. We apply individual salary setting and flexible working hours.
