The municipality of Arjeplog is looking for a Chimney Sweep Technician / Chimney Sweeper / Chimney Sweep Apprentice.

We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented employee to join our team.

The position can be filled as a chimney sweep technician, chimney sweeper, or chimney sweep apprentice if qualified applicants are not available.

Description

Do you want to work in a profession that combines tradition, technology, and safety – in a municipality where nature is always around the corner? We are now looking for a chimney sweep technician or chimney sweeper for the municipality of Arjeplog.

The position is stationed at the Rescue Service in Arjeplog, where you will be an important part of our work for fire safety, the environment, and security.

Responsibilities

You will work with:

• Soot removal from local heating appliances and boilers for various fuels
• New inspections and status checks
• Fire safety inspections
• Cleaning of ventilation systems and ducting
• Advising customers on heating, energy, and fire safety

Since some assignments are performed in remote areas, a snowmobile license is required. If you do not have this, the municipality of Arjeplog offers training and the opportunity to obtain the license. Working hours are weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00, but work outside regular hours may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has training as a chimney sweep technician/chimney sweeper
• Has high school qualifications and a B driver's license (requirement)
• Has good IT skills
• Is proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Has good physical condition and is not afraid of heights
• Is responsible, service-oriented, and solution-focused

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working at heights
• OVK certification
• Experience in ventilation cleaning
• Snowmobile license

As a person, you are meticulous, flexible, and enjoy working in a small team where collaboration is crucial. Personal suitability will be highly valued.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
