The Church of Sweden in Kramfors is looking for several cemetery workers for work at our eleven cemeteries during the summer season of 2026. The work involves taking care of cemetery environments and largely takes place in a cultural-historical setting, where cemeteries and church buildings are protected by cultural heritage laws. People in general care about these environments, making it a meaningful task to care for them well.

About the position

The position as a cemetery worker in Kramfors parish offers the opportunity for varied tasks and personal responsibility. Work at the cemeteries includes tasks such as lawn mowing, planting and maintenance of grave plantings, weeding, hedge trimming, maintenance of flower beds, trimming, and leaf blowing. Other tasks may also occur.

Together with other employees, you will be the face of the Church of Sweden and will meet people in various life situations.

About the person we are looking for

We are looking for someone who can take great responsibility for their tasks, is unpretentious, and is good at getting things done. You are positive, flexible, have good physical condition (e.g., shoulders, neck, knees), work well with others, and respect everyone's equal value.

We prefer that you have experience or education in gardening, a B driver's license, and experience with various machines.

You need to be able to provide a good reception to people, as the work often involves contact with visitors in churches and cemeteries.

Employment conditions

Since the working language, for safety reasons, is Swedish, you need to be able to speak and understand Swedish at a basic level, both orally and in writing.

A criminal record extract is required.

Placement will be in one of the parish's work teams that together manage several cemeteries.

How we recruit

The position is full-time, with work from Monday to Friday during the day. The season is from May to October, but we are also looking for people for a shorter period during June-August.
