Care Assistant at Ekbacken/Möjetorp Home Care and Assisted Living

Your Responsibilities

Welcome to Ekbacken/Möjetorp home care and assisted living. We are now looking for a dedicated employee who wants to make a difference in the daily lives of our residents!

As a care assistant with us, you start your day by picking up your phone and getting an overview of the day's planning. You then visit the clients on foot, by bike, or by car, providing support and care based on their individual needs and wishes, in accordance with IBIC (Individual Needs in Center). The tasks vary and may include personal care, assistance during meals, social interaction, cleaning, cooking, shopping, and laundry. You will also perform health care tasks as delegated by a nurse.

The work is independent, but you always have close support from your colleagues. You collaborate with home health care, rehabilitation staff, management, and administration. The role includes being a contact person for a number of clients, establishing and documenting implementation plans, and maintaining contact with relatives and other care providers. All documentation is done in the digital journal system Treserva.

The position is 100% and the working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Your Workplace

Ekbacken home care and Möjetorp assisted living are located in the Ekholmen/Hjulsbro area. Möjetorp assisted living, located on Tallholmsvägen in Hjulsbro, consists of 16 assisted living apartments where residents receive support from home care. The residence has a pleasant outdoor area by the dining room and is surrounded by greenery. In addition to the services at the assisted living facility, we also provide support to approximately 90-100 people who live at home in Ekholmen and Hjulsbro. Our workgroup is based in bright and pleasant premises at Ekbacken nursing home on Kvinnebyvägen in Ekholmen. For home visits, we use bicycles, cars, or walk.

With us, you will be part of a positive and close-knit team of about 25 employees, mainly care assistants. We work closely with nurses and rehabilitation teams to meet each individual's needs in the best way possible. We value community and a good working environment, which is why we regularly gather after morning visits to assess the clients' situations and exchange experiences. Every four weeks, we hold workplace meetings (APT) where we discuss development issues and work for continuous improvement.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant. You have experience working in care, support, and assistance and are familiar with delegated health care tasks. If you have previously worked in home care and have knowledge of working from a salutogenic approach, a low-arousal response, and IBIC (individual needs in center), we consider this an advantage.

You need to feel comfortable with digital tools and be able to document and keep records of your work. Working in elderly care involves many meetings with people and a fair amount of documentation, so you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You also need to be able to ride a bike, as it is part of everyday life with us.

As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility, but you also enjoy collaborating. You are attentive and communicate clearly. You have a great deal of empathy and can adapt when situations change.
