The Technical and Maintenance Office Logistics (TVK Log) is seeking engineers for our department, within sections responsible for maintenance and fuel equipment, medical materials, and personal equipment. About the Unit

TVK Log is a central player in the logistics management of the Swedish Armed Forces. We are responsible for ensuring that supplies and materials are available and meet the needs of military units – in peace, crisis, and war. This also means that we create the conditions required for the Armed Forces' sustainability in areas such as fuel, food, and ammunition. The unit consists of approximately 120 employees with broad expertise in technology, logistics, and management. TVK Log mainly consists of civilian personnel with an even distribution between women and men. The management is located in Boden, but we are represented in several locations across the country. Our work is based on trust, collaboration, and a clear mission – to enable available military units through the right materials at the right time.

Main Responsibilities

In this role, you will carry out design and configuration management tasks and perform technical work throughout the material's lifecycle. Your task is to ensure that the materials to be used are safe and function as they should. You will drive and participate in project teams, technical investigations, and handle deviations and improvement proposals within the area. You will collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders.

As an engineer, you will also work on developing technical specifications, requirements for procurement, and contracts within the area. You will perform technical control and quality assurance, as well as configuration and needs assessment of technical measures. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the materials and services delivered to the Armed Forces meet the agreed technical requirements. Maintaining records and ensuring that the correct information is available in administrative systems are also part of the job.

Qualifications

• University or college degree with an engineering focus or equivalent technical competence acquired in another way that the employer assesses as equivalent
• Documented experience in technical work, requirements specification, technical design, preparation, configuration management, or maintenance solutions.

Personal Attributes

As a person, you have excellent collaboration skills while being able to work independently. You are development-oriented, proactive, and take your own initiatives. The position requires good analytical skills and the ability to see connections. You need to be communicative, pedagogical, and skilled at expressing yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. You will have significant responsibility for solving assigned tasks, which requires you to prioritize and work in a structured manner. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious

• Documented knowledge and experience regarding materials and technical systems, their technical solutions, and integration with surrounding material systems
• Documented experience in technical documentation and user instructions
• Good experience with support systems in the logistics or technical field, e.g., SAP or similar production or business systems
• Documented experience of work/training in the logistics field within the Armed Forces or the Defence Materiel Administration
• Driver's license (B).

Other

The employment constitutes a permanent civilian position full-time. A six-month probationary period will apply for those who are not already permanently employed within the Armed Forces.

Work location: Skövde or Boden

Travel in the service may occur.
