Kvibergs Hostel is looking for a handy and reliable caretaker for hourly work, approximately 10-15 hours per week (varies according to need). The position involves ongoing supervision and practical tasks in and around the hostel. The work is performed independently but in collaboration with reception and cleaning staff.

Responsibilities

• Simple repairs, assembly, and practical maintenance of premises and furniture.
• Supervision of rooms, corridors, and common areas.
• Outdoor maintenance such as flower beds, lawn mowing, leaf raking, and snow shoveling.
• Driving a lawn mower and smaller snow tractor as needed.
• Handling of bulky waste.
• Reporting issues and purchasing simple materials.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in similar tasks.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Comfortable with simple machines such as lawn mowers and snow tractors.

The position is particularly suitable as a part-time job for seniors, such as retirees, who want to work flexibly and utilize their experience. It is an advantage if you live in the local area, as the work sometimes involves shorter shifts and weather-dependent tasks.
