With over 6500 employees in the country, from north to south, we deliver services that make a difference. We offer our customers everything from cleaning to technical services, food and workplace services. ISS Facility Services has an exciting collaboration with a customer in the automotive industry with several sites in Sweden. We are now looking for an Operations Technician for the customer's site in Umeå. Do you want to help create conditions for a pleasant and safe environment and deliver world-class service? Then apply for this position with us!

About Us

We take care of our customers' properties, employees, and visitors. We are experts in property services and we deliver service solutions to businesses and public sector organizations throughout Sweden. We ensure that properties and workplaces are as efficient and inspiring as possible. With our technical services, we create conditions for productivity while minimizing risks.

Responsibilities

As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for supervision, maintenance, and corrective maintenance of the customer's properties. Examples of the main tasks included in your role:

  • Supervision and maintenance of technical operating systems and properties.
  • Primary corrective maintenance (troubleshooting and resolution).
  • Long-term planned maintenance in the properties.
  • Management of computerized control systems.
  • Work with operation, development, and optimization of the property's systems.
  • Ongoing work with improvements and some documentation.
  • Execute and be responsible for various customer projects.
  • Perform task-based work beyond the contract.
  • Be an active initiator in the daily work of improving and developing our delivery, both internally and towards the customer.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with broad knowledge in property operations – experience in ventilation and building automation is highly meritorious. You are a driven person who wants to take on an important role in an organization with a strong forward momentum. You have the skills needed to solve various tasks in property operations, but you also bring humility and creativity that allow you to find ways forward even when your own expertise does not cover everything.

You seek improvement opportunities and engage in dialogue about these with relevant individuals. You see the value in working in a planned and structured way, where you have the ability to work preventively rather than reactively.

You are service-oriented and have a positive character. You are also good at communicating with different people, recognizing the importance of maintaining good dialogue about ongoing work. For you, it is natural to provide feedback to relevant individuals. You enjoy developing and furthering your technical skills. You are happy to share your experiences and knowledge with your colleagues.

With humility and attentiveness, you also earn the respect of customers and your colleagues.

The role is to be part of a group with various professional categories within property maintenance, so we see that you are used to working independently within your specialty, but you also enjoy collaborating in teams and projects.

This is a permanent position with an initial 6-month probationary period.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with education and/or experience in property operations – preferably with deeper experience in ventilation. You speak and write Swedish fluently and have basic IT skills - e.g. Microsoft Office, internet, and case management systems. A driver's license (B) is required.

We Offer

Of course, we offer you a secure employment at ISS. You will work closely with competent colleagues from whom you will gain a lot, as we value helping and developing each other. ISS's size and broad service offering contribute to good development opportunities both nationally and globally. Our focus is on taking care of and developing our employees, as we believe that “People make places.” ISS offers various training and talent programs – all to engage and develop you at work.

ISS's values are quality, responsibility, honesty, and entrepreneurship. These values will be fundamental in how we work. Therefore, it is important that you feel that you represent a working method and an approach that aligns with these.
