We are looking for you who are a pediatric nurse or district nurse, with experience in child health care centers (BVC). We seek someone who is structured and sees administrative work as a natural part of the job. Those who have previously worked at BVC know that the work requires creativity, attentiveness, and an interest in people. Alongside the work at BVC, there will be an opportunity to work 10% administratively with the Family Center.

Job Responsibilities

Standard tasks at BVC. Having the opportunity for independent work while still being part of a creative group is seen as very positive for those working at BVC. We are 12 nurses who, together with pediatricians, general practitioners, and other consultants, carry out work on behalf of Region Stockholm, according to the basic program of child health care.

We are part of Inner City Family Center

We see great advantages in having close collaboration around parental support and open preschool, which can facilitate our own work - but above all be beneficial for families. We are part of Inner City Family Center together with Stockholm City and our midwives at the BB Family midwifery clinic in the same premises. For many expectant parents, it becomes natural to seek out our BVC with their newborn child, in a familiar environment and with familiar faces.

Qualifications

Pediatric nurse or district nurse with experience in child health care. Previous work at BVC for at least 1 year. Experience and education in breastfeeding of at least 7.5 credits is an advantage.

About the Position

• Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period, or alternatively a temporary position
• 100%, 40h/week, of which 10% administrative work with the Family Center

BB Stockholm provides health and medical care during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Our specialist maternity care, delivery, and postpartum care are located at Danderyd Hospital, where approximately 3,800 children are born each year.

We operate at four midwifery clinics (BMM) and one child health care center (BVC) with an associated breastfeeding clinic. At the midwifery clinics, we offer care during pregnancy, contraceptive counseling, and gynecological cell sampling.

From autumn 2024, BB Stockholm can offer the care model My Midwife, where pregnancy check-ups take place at BB Stockholm Family Kungsholmen and the birth at BB Stockholm delivery. In late autumn 2024, BB Stockholm also started an ultrasound clinic for obstetric ultrasounds at BB Stockholm Family City.

Patients and expectant and new parents have a significant influence on the care. Our overarching strategy is that health and medical care should be conducted with respect, engagement, and quality.

The employees in our company are our greatest asset. At BB Stockholm, midwives, nursing assistants, and doctors work with the care of patients. All doctors are specialists and have extensive experience in maternity care and maternal health care. In addition to staff participating in direct care, there are also administrative staff and staff responsible for kitchens, storage, and other facilities. We also supervise students from midwifery and medical programs.
