The Service Office is Borås City's internal resource for both technical and administrative services. We operate in an efficient and business-like manner - without our own budget allocation - where each assignment is carried out and invoiced according to agreements and arrangements. We have about 450 dedicated employees who keep Borås functioning in everyday life. We ensure that all employees in Borås City receive their salaries, that residents have clean water and functioning sewage systems, and that our roads, lawns, and properties are intact, safe, and well-maintained. We are now looking for dedicated construction workers who want to work with asphalt within Borås City - here you will be part of developing roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and other important areas in our city.

The Construction Department consists of just over 100 employees and is divided into four areas, including operations and projects within construction, water and sewage, district heating, parks, and land maintenance. Within our department, we are Borås City's operational crisis management resource. We are now seeking construction workers for our asphalt unit.

You will primarily work as a construction worker focusing on asphalt. In your work, you will be part of a laying team, spreading team, and paver truck. You will, among other things:

• Perform preparatory work, laying, and compaction of asphalt
• Handle machines and tools within asphalt production
• Work on maintenance and new construction projects within Borås City
• Collaborate with an experienced and cohesive team

There may also be occasions when you work on other construction projects.

We are looking for someone with a couple of years of professional experience working with asphalt and/or education that the employer deems equivalent. A B driver's license is required, a C driver's license is an advantage. You find it easy to collaborate, are social and flexible. You enjoy physical work and working outdoors year-round. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
