Ward 4 has 14 care places, of which one is reserved for self-chosen admission.

The ward is located at S: Görans hospital area, which is centrally located, close to the city's pulse and good communication opportunities. We are committed to conveying a humanistic value base and creating a dignified care environment for our patients. The ward is multiprofessional and consists of nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, occupational therapists, and social workers. By offering supportive conversations, we encourage our patients to engage in activities, exercise, and healthy eating habits. The ward is implementing Safewards, a method to secure care for patients and strengthen their ability to influence the activities offered by the ward.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone interested in patients with psychotic diagnoses. You are a positive person who wants to contribute to the development of the ward together with us. As a nurse, you have a central role as a team leader with primary responsibility for psychiatric care. Responsibilities in the ward include standard nursing tasks such as offering conversations, participating/leaving rounds/care planning, supervising students, medication management, sampling, and documentation in the data journal systems TakeCare and Lifecare. The work also includes close collaboration with outpatient clinics. Psychiatry is continuously developing, and Northern Stockholm Psychiatry is constantly striving for modern and innovative working methods; therefore, participation in the ward's quality and development work is a given for our employees. From the end of January, Ward 4 will belong to the Psychosis Care Clinic in Stockholm.

Qualifications

Registered nurse with an interest in psychotic disorders in both acute and long-term phases. Previous experience in psychiatric care or specialized training in psychiatry is an advantage but not a requirement. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. As a person, you are creative, solution-focused, and responsible. You have good collaboration skills and are loyal to your assignment, but above all, you have a strong interest in working with psychotic patients.

Conditions

The position includes varying work shifts, and during the summer, there are good opportunities to get several consecutive shifts during a certain period.

• employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
• in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
