Our Operations

All job roles within geriatrics share one thing in common: it is meaningful, exciting, and developing to work in the field of geriatrics (VO geriatrics). Our tools are science and proven experience, and we have the collective resources of Akademiska sjukhuset at our disposal. We dare to try new paths, and our driving force is to make a difference for our patients every day. We are constantly working on improvements and have developed new methods for geriatrics where the patient is at the center and the competencies of all professions are utilized.

Thanks to advances in medicine, care, and lifestyle, we are living longer, which brings new demands on healthcare. We encounter a larger patient group and new challenges. The patients we meet carry a lifetime of experiences, often with multiple diseases and perhaps a complex health situation.

30A is now looking for more substitutes for the summer. In this ad, we are targeting nursing students from semester 4 who want to work as nursing assistants this summer. You wish to combine summer work with nursing assistant tasks and to attest to the licensed nurse in their work. If you are a nursing student from semester 3, you are welcome to apply to our other ad aimed at those who want to work with nursing assistant tasks. The purpose of the recruitment is primarily to strengthen staffing for the summer.

Your Assignment

Nursing Assistants

Nursing students who have completed and passed semester 4. Nursing assistants are employed in the position of assistant. Tasks that the nursing assistant can work with include regular nursing assistant duties as well as assisting the licensed nurse in their work. The nursing assistant always works under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Examples of possible tasks under supervision include admission of planned/emergency patients, discharge conversations, documentation in Cosmic, sampling, participating in rounds, coordination functions, performing risk assessments and actions, PVK insertion, EKG. Other possible tasks that must always be checked and signed by a licensed nurse include medication management, such as mixing IV fluids and administering medications. If necessary, the nursing assistant may also perform nursing assistant tasks on the ward.

Your Qualifications and Competence

You are a nursing student from semester 4. You have good knowledge and skills in basic nursing care. The variation in work means that you should be flexible, responsible, and able to adapt to acute situations, as well as being ready to step in where needed. You also have good computer skills, and it is an advantage if you are familiar with the Cosmic journal system. You enjoy working with elderly people, have a good demeanor, and possess strong collaboration skills. You are also an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.

We offer you a summer temp or hourly employment during the summer of 2026. We prefer that you can work the entire summer or alternatively weeks 25-29 or 30-33 (with introduction before week 30).
