Our Operations

All job roles within geriatrics have one thing in common: it is meaningful, exciting, and developing to work in the field of geriatrics (VO geriatrik). Our tools are science and proven experience, and we have the combined resources of Akademiska sjukhuset at our disposal. We dare to try new paths, and our driving force is to make a difference for our patients every day. We are constantly working on improvements and have developed new working methods for geriatrics where the patient is at the center and the competence of all professions is utilized.

Thanks to advances in medicine, care, and living habits, we are living longer, which brings new demands on healthcare. We meet a larger patient group and new challenges. The patients we encounter carry a whole life in their backpack, often with multiple diseases and perhaps a complex health situation.

30A is now looking for more substitutes for the summer

In this ad, we are addressing nursing students from semester 4 who want to work as nursing assistants this summer. You wish to combine work this summer with nursing tasks and with certifying a licensed nurse in their work. If you are a nursing student from semester 3, you are welcome to apply to our other ad aimed at those who want to work with nursing tasks. The purpose of the recruitment is primarily to strengthen staffing for the summer.

Your Mission

Nursing Assistants

Nursing students who have completed and passed semester 4. Nursing assistants are employed with the position of assistant. Tasks that the nursing assistant can work with include regular nursing tasks and assisting a licensed nurse in their work. The nursing assistant always works under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Examples of possible tasks under supervision include admission of planned/emergency patients, discharge conversations, documentation in Cosmic, sampling, participating in rounds, coordination functions, performing risk assessments and actions, PVK placement, EKG. Other possible tasks that must always be checked and signed by a licensed nurse include medication management, such as mixing IV fluids and administering medications. If necessary, one also works with nursing tasks on the ward.

Your Qualifications and Competence

You are a nursing student from semester 4. You have good knowledge and skills in basic nursing. The variation in work means that you as an applicant should be flexible, responsible, and able to adapt to acute situations and be ready to step in where needed. You also have good computer skills, and it is an advantage if you know the Cosmic journal system. You enjoy working with elderly people, have a good attitude, and possess good collaboration skills. You are also an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good working environment. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.

We Offer

We offer you a summer substitute position or hourly employment during the summer of 2026. We prefer that you can work the entire summer or alternatively weeks 25-29 or 30-33 (with introduction before week 30).
