Sigtuna School of Humanities (SSHL) is hiring a cleaner/economy assistant

Sigtuna School of Humanities, SSHL, is an international boarding school operated as a foundation through the Sigtuna School Foundation, with roots dating back to the 1920s. The school currently has about 550 students; students who live at the school, boarding students, as well as students who live at home and come from nearby areas, day students. The school offers education in both Swedish and international study programs; high school as well as the IB programs MYP, CP, and Diploma. This means that the school embodies both Swedish and international culture. Currently, there are students from about 45 different countries at the school.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a cleaner/economy assistant. The position of cleaner/economy assistant requires you to be service-oriented and committed to maintaining high quality in your work. You will collaborate with other staff regarding all school premises and student residences. It is very important that you provide everyone with a good reception, both students, colleagues, and parents. We want you to have a holistic perspective, be positive, and see opportunities. You must be able to prioritize based on varying conditions, and the job requires a high degree of personal responsibility. As the work of a cleaner/economy assistant is physically demanding, we expect you to have good health. Since we are an international boarding school, we speak both Swedish and English.

QUALIFICATIONS

Merit: A merit is if you have knowledge of floor treatment and maintenance as well as window cleaning. It is also advantageous if you hold a B driver's license. As a person, you are stress-resistant, flexible, and structured. You easily build relationships with people and are service-oriented. You thrive on responsibility and have a solution-oriented mindset as well as the ability to prioritize and plan your work. Furthermore, you are proactive with common sense and consult your immediate supervisors on important decisions. You have the ability to take personal responsibility, and quality is important to you.

OTHER

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, and before employment, an acceptable extract from the police record must be presented. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period, and the last application date is January 31, 2026. The position will be filled as soon as possible.
