Laboratory Technician for Yara's Laboratory in Köping

We are looking for a laboratory technician for our client's laboratory operations in Köping. The assignment offers a varied and developing role where you work with analyses that are crucial for both product quality, environmental performance, and safety in a modern process industry.

As a laboratory technician, you will be part of a knowledgeable team of six people responsible for sampling, analysis, and reporting related to raw materials, products, process parameters, and emissions. The laboratory is accredited for sampling and several water analyses, which means clear quality requirements and a professional working method.

You will work both in a laboratory environment and out in the facility with sampling and fieldwork. The role provides a good combination of practical laboratory work and analytical documentation work.

• Sampling of flue gases, process water, effluent water, and products
• Sample preparation and chemical as well as physical analyses
• Instrument analyses such as TOC, ICP, IR, discrete analysis (AQ2/Gallery), spectrophotometry, and titration
• Control and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Quality assurance through the issuance of analysis certificates and support assignments for production laboratories
• Assist laboratory engineers with investigations, improvements, and validations
• Reporting and documentation in accordance with accreditation requirements

• Work in an important hub that supports both production, safety, and the environment
• Close collaboration in an experienced team with good knowledge sharing

• University degree in chemistry or equivalent competence through experience
• Experience in laboratory work and analytical methods
• Good ability to document and handle numbers
• Proficiency in Swedish and English at a very good level in both spoken and written form

Meritorious:
• Experience from accredited laboratory operations
• Experience in water analyses or sampling in the process industry

Initially, you will be employed as a consultant at MiJob but will work at Yara with the ambition to transition into a permanent position at Yara.
