The Vehicle Unit belongs to the finance department of the police, whose mission is to ensure a range of different conditions for the police to achieve its goals. The responsibility of Vehicle Service is the aftermarket for police vehicles and the operation of the police's own workshops.

The Vehicle Unit has overall responsibility, among other things, for the Vehicle Service section, procurement of police vehicles through national vehicle supply, and internal traffic safety work. The mission includes coordinating, developing, and streamlining operations within each area of responsibility.

Job Description

In the role of vehicle technician, you will primarily work with advanced troubleshooting and repairs. This concerns the basic vehicle and the police system, such as emergency lights, control units, and vehicle electronics. We also perform service on police authority vehicles as time allows.

Work at another location may occur.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• High school and/or post-secondary education in the automotive technical field, deemed relevant for the position by the employer.
• Recent experience working with diagnostic tools and/or vehicle electronics.
• At least 2 years of recent experience as a vehicle technician from an authorized workshop.
• Very good oral and written communication skills in Swedish
• Swedish issued driving license B for manual vehicles
• Swedish citizenship

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Education in vehicle electronics
• Experience in administrative work (Microsoft Office/workshop systems or equivalent)
• Experience working with superstructure equipment
• Experience working with tire machines
• BE or C/CE driving license

Personal Qualities:

In the role of vehicle technician, it is expected that you are meticulous, responsible, and independent. You should also be flexible, have a good sense of service, and possess good collaboration skills.
