Your Role

With us, you will work on the most complex constructions for submarines, surface vessels, and other naval systems. Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world!

We are now looking for welders and sheet metal workers for our unique production of state-of-the-art submarines and surface vessels at one of the world's most modern shipyards.

In your role, you will work with new installations, maintenance, and repairs. We use a wide range of welding methods from MIG/MAG/MMA to TIG and robotic welding, with material thicknesses over 10mm, which will put your skills and craftsmanship to the test.

As a welder and heavy plate worker, you will come into contact with various special steels for submarine manufacturing. Your Profile

To fit as a welder with us, you have:

• Work experience in welding with various welding methods
• Experience with welding method 136
• Experience with welding method 141 or 111
• Education or equivalent experience in welding with material thicknesses over 10 mm
• Experience in reading technical drawings
• Flexibility, teamwork ability, initiative, and organizational skills
• Computer skills
• At least 5 years of experience in welding

To fit as a heavy plate worker with us, you have:

• Experience in heavy plate work and welding
• Experience in manufacturing and assembling steel structures
• Industrial technical high school education
• Good knowledge of reading technical drawings
• Experience with welding methods 136, 141, and 111 in material thicknesses over 20 mm
• Flexibility, teamwork ability, initiative, and organizational skills
• Computer skills
• At least 5 years of experience in sheet metal work

Meritorious:

• Welding licenses
• Experience in preheating materials
• Experience in gas cutting
• Hot work
• Experience in arc gouging/arc chipping
• Previous work in material group 3
• Previous work in the shipbuilding industry or other heavy welding industries.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for specific citizenship.
