ABOUT THE POSITION
Do you want to work in a dynamic and technically advanced environment where you can contribute to sustainability and take on environmental responsibility? We are now looking for an Environmental Coordinator for our client in the defense industry who wants to be part of their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with environmental and chemical issues related to our client's products, from new development to production and support services.
An example of what a day might look like
Your day starts with a meeting where you and the project team review current environmental requirements and report progress on ongoing projects. After that, you review chemical documentation for a new product and ensure that it meets applicable legal requirements. After lunch, you participate in a workshop where you collaborate with purchasing and production to identify more environmentally friendly material alternatives. The day ends with you compiling a report to authorities regarding hazardous substances and preparing presentations for upcoming client meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and control activities that support the project's/product's environmental goals and ensure compliance with the products' environmental requirements
- Interpret and apply existing environmental and chemical legislation regarding the client's products
- Collaborate with the chemistry and environmental function across various departments
- Handle various chemical issues
- Develop environmental and chemical documentation for the business's customers
- Drive change by replacing materials and chemical products with alternatives that have less health and environmental impact
- Statutory reporting to authorities regarding hazardous substances
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a comparable field relevant to our client. Alternatively, work experience from a similar role
- Has good knowledge of legislation in the environmental and chemical area, primarily REACH and CLP
- Due to security requirements from our client, only holds Swedish citizenship
- Is willing to travel for work, primarily within Sweden but also internationally

- Location: Karlstad or Karlskoga
- The position requires a background check and is security classified
