The County Hospital Somatics coordinates the county's healthcare for specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county hospital operations. The county hospital operations are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as several outpatient clinics located in various towns in the region. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.

The surgical department is an inpatient department for patients within the surgical, urology, and ENT clinics. The surgical department in Örnsköldsvik has 20 beds with a focus on acute and elective surgery / ENT patients and palliative care.

We are now looking for nursing assistants for the summer of 2026 at our surgical unit in Örnsköldsvik. The position is a temporary full-time employment, with start date according to agreement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in examinations and work with instrument handling
  • Plan the day, order materials, and work with medical technology equipment
  • Patient care, sampling, and mobilization of patients.

In the surgical department in Örnsköldsvik, you will work days and evenings, but also every other weekend.

Additional InformationQualifications

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a trained nursing assistant, or someone studying to become a doctor or nurse who has completed semester 4
  • Has language skills in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale and English in spoken and written form.

It is an advantage for the position if you

  • Have experience in surgery and palliative care
