K 4 is recruiting part-time soldiers (GSS/T)

K 4 is a specialized unit at the forefront in many areas. The unit's specialty is to train and maintain the Norrland Ranger units for deep combat in the Nordic region.

K 4 is now seeking part-time soldiers (GSS/T) for our combat units based in Arvidsjaur. Are you attracted to working to create conditions for the unit's operations in peace, crisis, and war? Then this is for you. Together we create the conditions for Sweden's defense.

K 4 is recruiting during the spring for several positions and roles. Your results, suitability, experiences, and wishes will be taken into account when deciding on your placement.

As a GSS/T, you will serve part-time, meaning that you have another primary occupation besides your employment in the Armed Forces. You will serve in periods based on your scheduled service plan. This could be during exercises, training, or missions.

Available positions include Ranger Soldier with a focus on:

• Rifleman/Weapons Specialist
• Signaler
• Communications/Management
• Medic
• Driver
• Sharpshooter
• Fire Controller

Some positions may change depending on the organization's needs.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Completed/ongoing military service with grades/prognosis JA-2-2
• Swim competent (400m + lifesaving)
• Approved physical requirements for the applied position

Personal qualities:

As a person, you should be driven, responsible, and possess a good ability to work in a team. You should have good self-awareness of your own abilities and limitations as well as well-developed self-discipline. You should be able to receive and process given feedback constructively.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE:

• Completed military service at K 4 or equivalent unit
• Basic training within the last 3 years
• Training on RA1512/RA1513
• Trained Ranger Medic, Advanced
• Driving license B, C
• Military driving license snowmobile
• Military driving license on LpTgb + Trailer
• Trained Sharpshooter according to FM training plan
• Trained Fire Controller according to FM training plan
• Military Security Guard

Employment form: Military, fixed-term employment as GSS/T for six to eight years. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

Before employment, a recruitment assessment will be conducted, including physical tests, interviews, and security checks in Arvidsjaur during Q1-Q2.
