The Cemetery Administration in the Church of Sweden Östersund consists of two cemeteries, several churches and chapels, as well as a crematorium. The Cemetery Administration is part of the parish, and we work to create a sense of wholeness and context. The Cemetery Administration's mission includes providing burial places for everyone, regardless of belief.

Description

Would you like to help take care of the beautiful environments of the cemeteries? Do you enjoy meeting people and want to contribute to our cemeteries being experienced as a beautiful and pleasant place to visit?

Your summer job as a cemetery worker means you will help take care of cemeteries in the Church of Sweden Östersund. Contributing to making the cemetery beautiful and welcoming for others is the foundation of the mission. You will also be the face of the cemetery to its visitors.

Responsibilities

You will perform practical tasks such as mowing, planting, and maintaining grave borders, as well as general cemetery maintenance. Work is done both in groups and independently, depending on the nature and setup of the tasks.

Qualifications

You enjoy meeting and helping others, have an easy time collaborating, and are meticulous.

You are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed.

You feel at ease in the cemetery environment and have the ability to treat colleagues and visitors with respect and understanding.

A B driver's license is an advantage, as well as other driving certificates.

Conditions

You must be at least 18 years old.

Full-time 40 hours/week.

Hourly employment.

(We apply a monthly salary according to the church's agreement and age.)

Period 1: June 3 - June 28

Period 2: July 1 - July 31

It is possible to apply for both periods, in which case you will work from June 3 - July 31.
