Wanted: 2x Summer Staff for Country Hotel

Would you like to work at a cozy country hotel? A country hotel with a beautiful garden, lovely hotel rooms, and fantastic guests. We are now looking for two seasonal employees for Halmstad Country Hotel in Söndrum. You will be part of a team of four, with a housekeeper and another employee already in place. Our staff works with everything from cleaning to reception, hosting, gardening, and Instagram. However, the main focus is hotel cleaning, about 80% of the working time. If you have interest and commitment, you will truly learn how to run a smaller hotel! In the 2025 season, we had the best guest ratings of all hotels in Halmstad; 4.7 out of 5 on Google, 9.1 out of 10 on Booking, and 9.8 out of 10 on Hotels.com. We are now looking for employees who want to help us become even better.

Your Workplace and Ours

Halmstad Country Hotel is a small “boutique hotel” with a rural feel, located between the city center and Tylösand. We have a fantastic garden, outdoor seating, a grill, and a pizza oven. However, we do not have a restaurant and do not serve breakfast. We strive for a high standard in everything we do; decor, hosting, bathrooms, and wonderfully made beds, etc. We want to emphasize that we are very meticulous about our cleaning!

Guests at the country hotel check in either to a hotel room or a studio. The hotel rooms have access to a shared kitchen, and each studio has its own kitchen. On the property, there are 13 hotel rooms and 7 studios with a total of 52 beds. We, who own the hotel and live on the property, are a family with two children, a dog, and two elderly grandparents. Together, we have created an environmentally conscious and flourishing country hotel with a relaxed atmosphere.

Your Tasks

· Cleaning (about 80% of the work) of hotel rooms, kitchens, and common areas, simply cleaning all buildings on the property.

· Reception with Check-in and Check-out of guests. We work in the booking system Sirvoy.

· Hosting is important and during your working hours, you greet and chat with our guests, answer questions, and provide your tips regarding Halmstad.

· Instagram has become an important channel, and every employee contributes to our social media.

· Gardening in our beautiful garden, this is not part of the daily work but may become relevant.

Are You the Right Fit for the Job?

With age comes experience and a bit of grit, which we appreciate. If you are young, ambition is important, and our minimum requirement is that you can show good grades from a completed high school education (mandatory requirement).

Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written) is seen as an important prerequisite (mandatory requirement).

As the hotel will have international guests, we see that you, as an applicant, have good knowledge of conversing in English (mandatory requirement). Experience in hotel cleaning and the tasks described above is highly meritorious.

As you might guess, we are keen to find employees who have service in their blood, an eye for detail, and contribute as a positive force in the team. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, structured, and wants to take significant personal responsibility.

Employment Conditions

The employment scope is about 80% starting at the end of June through August. The schedule includes shifts during the day, evening, and weekends. It is important that you can work throughout July and all of August. During July and August, all staff are scheduled on Sundays. On Sundays, we have the most to do, and we always have a staff meeting.

Individual salary setting, we do not have a collective agreement.
