NSD is the largest newspaper in Norrbotten, and we work every day to create leading news coverage of Sweden's ten northernmost municipalities. During a summer internship with us, you will work in a creative environment and be involved in examining important societal issues and capturing local gossip. You will be part of the team from day one and have a group of engaged and helpful colleagues.

We are looking for someone who has a strong commitment and interest in local journalism and is passionate about telling stories that matter to the everyday lives of the people in Norrbotten. You are curious, flexible, can grasp new issues, and actively work to ensure that your publications capture readers' interest.

As a reporter, your tasks will include generating ideas and telling stories by writing articles, taking photos, live reporting, filming, and editing video content for our site and social media. We work with a digital focus and clear goals where readers are always at the center, so we appreciate if you are skilled at packaging your own material.

You will be an important part of a driven editorial team that works closely with our readers – they are our most important clients. We can offer you an exciting everyday life where no day is like the other and where creativity and collaboration are in focus.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has or is studying a journalism degree or equivalent, or has equivalent work experience.
• Has a passion for journalism and a desire to convey news that helps the audience in their daily lives.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment where tasks may be prioritized based on current events.
• Is curious, enjoys meeting new people, and is willing to learn new things.
• Has a good sense of language, can understand angles, and convey straightforward news in text.
• Has basic knowledge of photography and filming (with mobile and/or DSLR).
• Has knowledge of journalism such as interview techniques, research, information gathering, source criticism, and news packaging.

The internships may involve working hours during the day, evenings, and weekends. A B driver's license is required as driving is part of the job.
