Workplace Description

The Northern Skarpnäck preschools consist of thirteen preschools located in Hammarbyhöjden, Björkhagen, Kärrtorp, and Bagarmossen. The preschools collaborate on pedagogical development. This is reflected in a shared internal training program and common services that support the pedagogical content.

The preschools have beautiful indoor environments, and we have fantastic nature surrounding our preschools that provide endless opportunities for children to engage with nature, movement, and play. Our preschool environments should attract, inspire, and challenge children in play towards learning and exploration together with other children and staff.

Job Description

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for leading the pedagogical work at the preschool in collaboration with colleagues and management. The children should be met with a creative, playful, and educational environment with meaningful content. As an adult and professional, you meet the children with warmth, curiosity, and care in all matters big and small. You ensure that the day is well-organized and adapted to the pace of younger children. You actively work towards a trusting and collaborative relationship with all families. You participate in training and contribute to mutual learning in various training contexts.

Qualifications

• Licensed preschool teacher.
• Experience of many years in preschool is a plus, but you can also be newly graduated.

We are looking for someone who:

• Takes responsibility for leading, planning, and following up on the pedagogical content so that it stimulates and challenges children's playful learning and development.
• Preferably has knowledge of aesthetic expressions and can implement them in everyday life with the children.
• Takes responsibility for ensuring that the pedagogical environment is creative, aesthetic, and full of opportunities for children's playful learning and exploration.
• Sees pedagogical documentation and reflection as important tools for deepening the pedagogical work together with children and colleagues.
• Has a fundamentally positive approach and sees the value in mutual learning, collaboration, and everyone's participation, including children, guardians, and colleagues.
• Is curious, listens attentively, and is caring in your interactions with our youngest citizens.

Employment Scope

Employment type: Substitute position from February to June 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
