In the Department of Education, Culture, and Leisure, we constantly focus on the municipality's residents. Here, we actively work with external collaborations to contribute to the municipality's attractiveness as both a residential community and a tourist destination. Our task is to promote and be responsible for cultural and leisure activities in the municipality, which includes our swimming operations.

Our mission is to create good opportunities for citizens to engage in sports and exercise, both within and outside of organized sports. Our vision is that our operations should stimulate movement, provide more leisure and wellness options, and create meaningful leisure time while offering a total experience for the whole family.

You will work as an hourly employee as needed within the unit of swimming facilities, where you can be placed at both Köpings bad and Sport and Malmabadet.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

What does it mean to work as a lifeguard?

The assignment means that together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for quality, service, safety, and comfort for guests in the daily operations of Köpings municipality's swimming activities. Here, the focus on public health will be significant.

We are confident that you, as an applicant, thrive best when you can work flexibly with various tasks. A workday can consist of many different moments. A large part involves hospitality and cash handling, where you greet our guests and represent us. Another part is supervising the swimming area. During supervision, you keep a close eye on our guests in the swimming hall and maintain a good and safe atmosphere in the facility without running, incidents, or accidents. Questions you may need to answer on a regular day range from opening hours, prices for swimming passes, lost keys, to the temperature of the pool. Otherwise, you will spend your time with colleagues, cleaning changing rooms and common areas, and again maintaining good hospitality towards guests.

For the safety of our visiting guests and yourself, an internal safety training will be included when you start.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who values public health and fitness but also understands that working in a swimming facility involves a significant amount of cleaning to keep the facilities clean and nice for all visitors. The position requires that you are a competent swimmer and enjoy being active.

It is advantageous if you already have a background in health, swimming instructor training, and experience working in swimming facilities.
