Nature Conservation Worker Wanted at Royal Djurgården Administration
The Royal Djurgården Administration is part of the Royal Court with the task of caring for and beautifying northern and southern Djurgården as well as the Fjäderholmarna. The total management area covers approximately 800 hectares and constitutes a significant part of the National City Park. The area has unique natural, cultural, and recreational values and requires dedicated maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
As a nature conservation worker, you will perform all maintenance and upkeep tasks in the park, focusing on nature conservation, clearing paths, exercise trails, and riding paths. Your tasks will also include supervision and basic maintenance of pumps, machinery, fences, and field carpentry (painting and repairs).
We are now seeking nature conservation workers for the 2026 season. The seasonal period extends from April to November, but it is of course possible to work for a shorter period.
Qualifications
- You are at least 18 years old
- A driver's license with category B is required; other licenses are a merit.
- Interest in nature, culture, and recreational environment care.
- Experience with machinery and documented competence in handling brush cutters and chainsaws, as well as knowledge of tree care, is a merit.
- Relevant education or documented experience in similar tasks.
- Special interest in wildlife management, ornithology, archaeology, or entomology is a merit.
As a person, you have a strong service and responsibility mindset. You are flexible, solution-oriented, willing to take initiative, and have good collaboration skills. It is also important that you are in good physical shape as the work can be physically demanding.
Additional Information about the Employment
- The duration of employment will be determined by agreement
- Working hours are during the day.
- Before the season starts, a mandatory introductory training will be conducted.
- Salary according to applicable agreements.
- The trade unions are represented by Saco-S, Seko, and OFR/S.
