We are now looking for a Gardener specializing in vegetable cultivation who wants to help create, develop, and maintain our fantastic farm.

In our Kitchen Garden of 1,500 square meters with a greenhouse, open fields, raised beds, and compost, we grew and harvested over a ton of vegetables, fruits, and berries last year, which we later served in our restaurants. The hops were sent to Värmdö Brewery. This is done through sustainable cultivation without artificial fertilizers or pesticides, where the soil is enriched with natural nutrient sources such as horse manure, alpaca manure, and ash.

The garden shop is open on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Here, our guests can buy freshly harvested produce, decor, and plants, among other things.

As the Operational Gardener at Siggesta Gård

you will organize, lead, and plan a varied workload, and also participate in the daily work. The focus will be on sowing and cultivation in our kitchen garden, greenhouse, and herb garden. In addition, there are regular tasks such as lawn mowing, weeding, plant care, planting, pruning trees, shrubs, and indoor plants in our facilities. The work is independent and requires planning, where you will work both in a team and independently.

What will you do?

Kitchen Garden, Greenhouse, Herb Garden, and Cultivation

• Design planting plans and collaborate with the farm's kitchen
• Develop harvesting schedules
• Design and develop the kitchen garden
• All sowing and cultivation in the kitchen garden and herb garden, as well as the Orangery
• Planting, maintenance, and care of all pots and flower boxes throughout the farm

Garden Shop

• Sales of fresh vegetables, seeds, and decor from April to September
• Sales of flower bouquets during the season

Garden and Landscape Environment of the Entire Farm

• Pruning of berry bushes and fruit trees
• Harvesting of fruits and berries in collaboration with the farm's kitchen.
• Planting, maintenance, and care of plantings, flower beds, pots, and flower boxes around the farm and its buildings

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant education in cultivation, gardening, or equivalent experience
• Has an interest in conducting demonstrations and leading gardening activities
• Has good plant knowledge and interest in outdoor environments
• Is practical, meticulous, and responsible
• Enjoys physical work outdoors in all weather
• Has a B driver's license, not required but a plus

• Temporary position from March to October with a possibility of extension
