About the Workplace

The Technical Office has a total of about 200 employees. The Parks and Streets Unit is responsible for the operation and management of the municipality's streets, parks, forest holdings, and the mine's water system. We also manage the workshop, coordinate vehicle purchases, and rental of vehicles for the entire municipality.

Job Responsibilities

As a colleague in the Parks and Streets Unit, you will have the chance to transform parks, streets, and squares into attractive and sustainable environments. You will help manage areas where our visitors love to spend their days. Whether it involves operation, construction, or snow/ice control, you will keep Sala safe and beautiful all year round. Your responsibilities will also include other tasks such as cleaning, maintenance of playgrounds, external property management, and forestry.

We are looking for a colleague who spreads both care and joy, someone who wants to help us add a silver lining to Sala's public environments.

Qualifications

To be suitable for this job, we want you to have a burning interest in our public environments. We want you to be a trained landscaper, gardener, or have other education/work experience that the employer deems equivalent. We are looking for someone who may have a superpower or two. To manage this position, you must have 5-10 years of experience in operation or construction, including experience in snow and ice control in both private and municipal operations.

Training in playground safety (SS-EN 1176), work on roads, safe lifting, aerial work platforms, and systematic work environment management is advantageous.

As a person, we want you to be positive, communicative, and self-driven. You enjoy working in a team but can also work independently when needed. It is important to us that we enjoy working together, and therefore we require you to have good collaboration skills. Other qualities we find important are that you are engaged and service-oriented just like your future colleagues.

A Class B driver's license and chainsaw certification (at least A+B) are required.

On-call duty may occur.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
