Engineer for FMV's CBRN Unit

Are you a person who enjoys collaborating, taking initiative, and contributing to advancing projects? Then this could be the role for you. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in your profession while working with technology that makes a concrete difference for Sweden's security.

In the unit, colleagues of different ages and backgrounds work together. We value care, respect, and a work environment where everyone can contribute their expertise and feel welcome.

About the Position

As an engineer with us, you will plan procurements, be responsible for the technical documentation, and ensure that the materials are handed over to the Armed Forces with the correct documentation and quality. The work also involves ensuring that the capabilities of the handed-over systems are maintained and developed. The work is carried out independently but with support from project managers, product managers, and other systems engineers.

You may be involved in procuring, specifying requirements, and delivering products that help the Armed Forces to detect, analyze, and protect against CBRN threats. This may also involve systems used to secure and analyze traces to create a picture of an opponent's capabilities and capacities, including systems for forensic security intelligence.

The position is based in Östersund at the CBRN, Home Guard, and Unmanned Systems unit. Travel in the role is common, both nationally and internationally.

About You

You have a technical post-secondary education, have officer training, or have equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent. You have relevant work experience and possess a very good ability to communicate in both spoken and written form in both Swedish and English. In addition, you have good knowledge of the Office suite. The position requires a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have experience in project work, have conducted analyses/investigations, and documented these in report form. Experience in procurement, requirements specification work, and verification of technical materials is also a plus. Furthermore, we believe that your knowledge in either technical documentation or maintenance analyses will help you succeed in the role of systems engineer with us.

FMV's project-based working method requires that you enjoy working in a team and demands good collaboration skills. You take responsibility for your tasks and want to drive processes forward. You are proactive and have the ability to see and address tasks where needed. Furthermore, you are good at independently planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively. You are meticulous and eager to achieve set goals. For us, the right person is important, which is why we place great emphasis on personal qualities.
