Working side by side with the healthcare system in Region Skåne is a significant and challenging task. The logistics area includes warehousing, mortuary services, and transport and vehicles. The Transport and Vehicle area is responsible for purchasing vehicles for our fleet of over 800 vehicles and managing the Region's parking spaces. We provide various transport solutions, including freight transport primarily using our own trucking services. Our truck and courier units transport various consumables, textiles, blood samples, mail, and more to different healthcare facilities in Region Skåne.

We are now looking for an experienced transport leader for our transport management group. The task of transport management is to plan, coordinate, monitor, and control transport deliveries and processes. Ongoing administration, reporting, follow-up, and analysis are also included. Together with other transport leaders, you will develop and drive the unit's working methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a transport leader, you will plan, coordinate, optimize, lead, and allocate work in daily operations. With a proactive approach, you focus on efficiency, sustainability, improvements, and follow-up. You and the other transport leaders will continuously work with scheduling and staffing planning as well as route optimization. If necessary, you will participate in working groups, projects, and investigations related to transport solutions, such as system support, working environment, deviations, and vehicles. You will contribute to daily improvement work to develop processes, routines, and working methods, but you will also participate in larger improvement projects.

In this role, you will have ongoing dialogue and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Through good contact and communication with vehicle drivers and internal and external partners, you will deliver clarity, service, information, and feedback. The transport management team also handles other administrative tasks such as contract administration, reporting, and compiling data and statistics. Since our operations are located in different areas of Skåne, travel may be required for workplace meetings and client visits. You will be employed within our Transport and Vehicle area, located at Stora Bernstorp.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with organizational skills to structure and coordinate transport operations. You have strong communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with various parties. Your work is carried out with a solution-oriented and proactive holistic approach based on our goals and missions. In this role, you have problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected situations and find solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have flexibility and adaptability.

We are looking for candidates with post-secondary/higher education/university degree in logistics and transport management, or relevant experience deemed equivalent by the employer. You have several years of experience as a transport leader, and it is advantageous if you have been involved in the implementation of system support. Experience in driving development and change work is also a plus. Previous experience working in a large organization, as well as collaboration and relationship building, is considered beneficial.

Since the job requires written and verbal communication with various stakeholders, you have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing and are a proficient user of the Office suite. Travel within Skåne is required for this position, and a valid driver's license (B) is therefore a requirement.
