The Street and Park Department within the Community Building Administration in Boxholm municipality consists of a team of six employees. We are responsible for planning, managing public spaces, and maintaining the municipality's public plantings, parks, playgrounds, streets, and squares, nature reserves, and forests to create an attractive environment for residents and visitors in the municipality.

Your tasks

With us, you will have a varied job within street and park land, forest land, and external property maintenance. Your tasks include gardening, pruning, mowing grass and hedges, weeding, and planting. You will also maintain playgrounds, perform cleaning, and street work such as winter road maintenance. The role also includes contact with tenants, municipal administrations, and contractors. On-call duty may be included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with gardening education, alternatively a high school education supplemented with one year of gardening education, or work experience that can be deemed equivalent. You preferably have several years of professional experience in park and gardening work and good experience with machinery such as lawn mowers, grass trimmers, compact loaders, and/or tool carriers. It is an advantage if you have good plant knowledge. If you have training in Hot Work and Work on Roads, B extended (B96), wheel loader license, Chainsaw license (A-B), Brushcutter license (A), or other relevant qualifications in street and park maintenance, this is advantageous. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who is a team player who can also take significant personal responsibility. You are proactive, take initiative, and work towards our set goals. We value a high work ethic and a positive attitude towards both the public and colleagues. A driving license for a manual transmission is a requirement for the position.

Start date January 12, 2026, or by agreement.
