JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Environmental and Community Building Administration handles, among other things, environmental and health protection issues, building permits, GIS, and measurement activities. We currently have about 25 people working in shared premises that facilitate cooperation on common issues.

The Environmental and Building Unit currently consists of an environmental and building manager, five environmental inspectors, and one food inspector, as well as four case officers in building. We are now looking for an environmental inspector with responsibilities in both environmental protection and health protection. The position includes supervision of larger industries, wind power, motor tracks, agriculture, air quality issues, supervision of health protection activities, and handling complaints. Responsibilities may be distributed based on competence and interests. We will place great importance on group dynamics. In supervision, how we communicate in both spoken and written language is important, simply and legally. We are a small team where we help and collaborate with each other.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have completed environmental and health protection training or another equivalent education.

You have experience in and understand the implications of exercising authority. Previous roles as an environmental and health protection inspector are advantageous. As a person, you are quality- and result-oriented, service-minded, enjoy working with people, are comfortable in the authority role, and express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You should be used to working independently and be proactive.

You must have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work.

We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities such as collaboration skills, commitment, and the ability to build trust through factual and empathetic communication, as well as your interest, willingness, and ability to provide service to our citizens and clients.

Good computer skills and a B driver's license are required. Experience with the case management system Vision is an advantage.

A requirement is good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish.
