Job Description

Our school is beautifully located by the sea in Tyresö Brevik. We have preschool, preschool class, and primary school/after-school care for grades F-6 under the same roof. We have around 70 children in preschool and about 280 children in the school.

We work with age-homogeneous groups in grade classes. Four educators, three primary school teachers, and one after-school teacher are responsible for a class of about 42 students. We follow our model, the Brevik Model, which means that teaching and after-school activities are seen as a cohesive operation. The school's primary school teachers and after-school teachers have a joint full-day assignment with teaching both in school and in after-school activities.

As a school caretaker with us, you have a varied role with responsibility for simple repair and maintenance work both indoors and outdoors, key management, furniture moving, snow shoveling and sanding, fire safety inspections, safety rounds, etc.

You are responsible for ensuring that the premises and associated inventory are in good condition and that the internal and external environment is safe and pleasant. In your role, you will work in a team together with the administration.

We are looking for someone with education and/or good experience in practical craftsmanship (carpentry, painting, etc.). Previous experience as a school caretaker and prior work with children is an advantage.

You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. The work requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

The position is a vacation position.

Working hours: The position comprises 35% with flexible working hours within operational hours. Vacation position.

Duration: Permanent with a 6-month probationary period.

Start date: January 2026 or when we find the right candidate.

Salary: Fixed monthly salary.
